It's your home for all of the events and activities for both TJ's School and PTA.
Check it out and let us know if you have any suggestions - we'd love to hear from you at TJjaguarsPTA@gmail.com.
Our population of approximately 460 encompasses students of many diverse backgrounds and cultures in kindergarten through sixth grade. We strive to provide the kind of individual attention that encourages students both academically and socially and makes our large school seem like a smaller, more personal one. Thomas Jefferson's mission is to empower our students to be self-motivated, world-class learners who demonstrate respect, responsibility, and commitment to academic excellence. Our motto is One Terrific Journey, and staff, parents, and community supporters are all dedicated to making each child's journey at Thomas Jefferson truly terrific!

Teacher and Staff Favorite Things!
Is there a TJ teacher or staff member you’d like to know more about? Maybe their favorite restaurant or if they have needs for their classroom at school? Each year the PTA request teachers complete a “favorite things” list. This year we’ve taken it digital and asked all staff to complete the questionnaire. Check out their responses here - http://www.tjpta.org/eMinder/TJ_Favorite_Things.pdf
Our Weekly High 5 – You did it, we appreciate it!
This week we'd like to give a high 5 to Heather Ji, Rachel Bormet and Amy Etnyre for organizing our Scholastic Fall Book Fair. Thank you to all the parents who volunteered during the book fair and all the families who purchased items. It was a very successful event that will provide essential funds to the LRC and school to purchase new books and supplies for TJ!
Also thanks to the success of our Fall Fundraiser, the PTA voted at our November meeting to use the funds the PTA budgeted to take from the book fair, to purchase books for our classrooms instead. As a result, the PTA was able to purchase 74 books from the Teacher Wish List baskets for our TJ classrooms. We hope that our students and teachers enjoy these new additions to their classroom libraries.
