They are an invaluable resource to our TJ families providing Parent Eduction, Advocacy, Legislation, Programs and much more.  Click on the icons above to view their websites directly.
National PTA Link
See how National PTA advocates for your child and family. They speak up for family engagement language in education; safe, healthy, and technologically advanced schools; and equal opportunity for all children, regardless of their socioeconomic background. Read the Federal Policy Agenda and learn more about the Family Engagement in Education Act.

The Parents’ Guide to Student Success was developed by National PTA in response to the Common Core State Standards in English language arts and mathematics that more than 45 states have adopted. Created by teachers, parents, education experts and other from across the country, the standards provide clear, consistent expectations for what students should be learning at each grade in order to be prepared for college and career. Click to see the Parent Guides to Student Success.

Connect for Respect is a National PTA initiative to encourage PTAs across the country to lead conversations in their school communities about bullying, how it is affecting their communities, and to develop solutions that they can implement collaboratively together.  Click to see Bullying:  Connect for Respect.
Check out the monthly Illinois PTA Bulletin for timely articles for topics ranging from Family Engagement & Parent Education to Membership Activities and more.  Click to view the March Illinois PTA Bulletin.

Illinois teachers are bringing the new Common Core State Standards into their classrooms. In Illinois, academic standards have not been updated since 1997, so Common Core is long overdue. Common Core is a baseline of shared goals and expectations outlining what each student should know and be able to do by the end of each grade level.  Click to view the Illinoi
Illinois PTA Common Core Resources and to view Common Core Information sponsored by the State of Illinois click www.CommonCoreIL.org.

Illinois PTA provides many Parent Education & Engagement Resources. Visit the IIllinois PTA Parent Engagement Page for ideas ranging from Ten Ways for Parents to Help TeachersTips for Communicating with Teachers Effectively and much, much more!
