Membership

The Membership Committee holds the membership drive and keeps tally of our membership.

Our membership drive begins in August and continues through March.
Thomas Jefferson traditionally has 100% teacher membership.

The Thomas Jefferson PTA is a not-for-profit organization with tax exempt status. We operate with a budget that is approximately $30,000 and we are very proud of the programs we are able to provide for our students. The membership fee is divided between national, state, and local dues. The PTA does not rely on membership fees to fund programs.

Depending on our budget demands, the Ways and Means organizes fundraisers throughout the year. Typical fundraisers may include selling wrapping paper and other items via Kathyrn Beich.

Our PTA traditionally hosts a family fun fair.

The Resource Center Committee holds an annual book fair, and although these profits are traditionally earmarked to go directly to the Resource Center, the specific distribution of these funds is determined each year by the Thomas Jefferson PTA Board.
